The international learning environment at Arcada represents students from over 40 different nationalities. With modern, state-of-the art facilities, students are able to train in laboratories and "living labs" together with researchers to expand their knowledge.

Arcada strives to contribute to research that is relevant to the current issues faced by the world we live in. Chosen specialized areas of this research are:  cultural fields, functional materials, business development and information analysis, patient safety, as well as health promotion and social participation. As alumni often become entrepreneurs, Arcada actively supports entrepreneurship encourages students’ business ideas.

In addition to these degree programs, Arcada also offers education in Swedish. The university has 14  degree programs at Bachelor level and 4 degree programs at Master level.
