Edge Hill University
Edge Hill College opened in Liverpool in 1885 as the first non-denominational teacher training college for women.
From its origins as a specialist institution with 41 female trainee teachers, Edge Hill now has almost 10,000 full-time students, another 3,000 part-time students on a wide range of undergraduate programmes, and almost 5,000 full- and part-time postgraduate students.
Edge Hill University is based on an attractive, award-winning 160-acre campus in Lancashire, close to Liverpool and Manchester. The institution has been providing higher education with a mission to create opportunity from knowledge.

Accommodation
Edge Hill University manages and maintains more than 2,300 single study bedrooms in halls of residence which are divided into six areas on campus.
All rooms are furnished with a bed, wardrobe, desk and chair and you can personalise your space with posters, photos and other items.
You will need to bring your own towels and bed linen (including a duvet and pillow), as well as crockery, cutlery, glassware and cooking utensils. If you are allocated a room in Forest Courtor Main Halls, you will also need to bring pots and pans.
All halls of residence are offered on a 40 week contract, running from September to late June.
Our value for money accommodation is priced to suit a range of budgets. Prices vary depending on the hall of residence, ranging from £75-£140 per week for academic year 2021/22 and £77-£143 per week for academic year 2022/23.
