Gower College Swansea
Choosing what you want to study after leaving school is one of the most important decisions that you will make, and we know that prospective students and their parents generally make these decisions based on three key factors: choice, quality and student
feedback – all of which are recognised strengths of this College.
Studying at a larger college can provide significant benefits for all of our students. These include, for example, a wide range of options which currently includes almost 40 A Level subjects and 40 vocational subject choices at a range of levels that match our students’ existing knowledge and skills.
But this larger size does not mean that we compromise on the quality of our courses or on the experience that our students enjoy, with class sizes still in line with national averages. Quality at Gower College Swansea is a given, with the College having one of the strongest reputations in Wales for high quality teaching and learning - not only for A Levels, but also across our vocational provision, with our students’ achievements being second to none.
In 2017, over 1,000 of our students progressed to university and of these, almost 200 were accepted by Russell Group institutions. Six of our students will progress to study at one of the prestigious Oxbridge colleges this year.
Our aim is to help all our students achieve their individual potential and to support them in progressing onto the best universities, the best jobs and the best careers.
