Sport and Leisure Management
A diploma in Sport and Leisure Management is a great foundation for a career in community development, recreation programming, facility management, athletic administration, fitness coordination and so much more. With three choices of program specialization, you have the opportunity to concentrate on the career pathway that suits your interest.
Sport and Recreation Management: Courses in community development, sport event tourism, marketing, public relations, and entrepreneurship are paired with leadership and program design to prepare you for a career on the business side of the recreation industry.
Sport and Leisure Studies: This profile provides the opportunity for you to customize your academic pathway. In addition to the core leadership and program development courses required of every Sport and Leisure Management student, you can choose eight electives to design a program unique to your career objectives.
Kinesiology: Courses in anatomy and physiology, nutrition, sport psychology, physical conditioning, and athletic therapy are combined with business management courses to prepare you for working directly with clients, managing fitness programs and helping prevent injury.
