Certificate in Travel and TourismThis 24 week (6 month) full time course is an excellent introduction into the Airline, Travel or Tourism industries. Students are introduced to business computing via globally recognized computing qualifications, including MOS.
The course includes high levels of practical activities and a full programme of field visits. Guest speaker and industry participation events. The curriculum includes essential units in domestic travel, fares and ticketing, New Zealand destinational geography, and valuable communication and customer handling skills customized for the tourism industries. The inclusion of cross-training on two computer reservation systems makes this an ideal course for careers within travel agencies, airlines or airport check-in.
A Flight Attending workshop is included within this course, and students interested in pursuing a career as flight attendant may also study towards the Cabin Crew Certificate through the Cabin Crew Direct online learning system.
