Bachelor of Business (Convention and Event Management)

This Bachelor of Business (Convention and Event Management) from Le Cordon Bleu is delivered to participants by the North Metropolitan TAFE through a blend of lectures and tutorials. It will give participants the opportunity to enter the event management industry, a sector that has grown rapidly in recent years in Australia, playing a large role in the creation of working business profiles, public relations campaigns and employee professional development. 

Events managers need to have a holistic approach to succeed in the role. This course will give students the skill and ability to work as a hands-on innovator to create a desired theme, content and ambience that fits the demand of any event.

Professional Experience enables students to apply the skills and techniques taught in a real hospitality business. With assistance from Le Cordon Bleu’s Career Services team, these work-based learning experiences will become the foundation for an exciting career in the hospitality industry.

Admission requirements

Applicants who wish to forge a career in the international convention and events market are encouraged to consider this degree program. Applicants will learn to master the fundamentals of organising conventions and events as well as strategic management principles.

Duration: 3 Years (Full-Time)
English proficiency: 6.0 Academic IELTS with no band score below 5.5.
Entry requirements: Satisfactory completion of Australian Year 12 or equivalent interstate/overseas secondary education is required. Applicants must be 18 years of age when the course commences.
