Red Deer College
Red Deer Polytechnic is located in Red Deer, Alberta, halfway between the major centres of Calgary and Edmonton. Since 1964, when our story began as Red Deer College, our post-secondary institution has proudly served our students and communities.
As of July 2021, our institution name is now Red Deer Polytechnic. In 2018, our post-secondary institution received approval to become a degree-granting institution. Now as apolytechnic institution in central Alberta, we will continue to offer the same breadth of credentials and mix of programs in a variety of subject areasthat we currently offer. This means we will continue to offer apprenticeships, certificates, degrees, micro-credentials and degrees.
Red Deer College's focus is on learning and student success. The instructors are devoted to teaching with a student-centered approach. Red Deer's up-to-date technology and state-of-the art facilities serve learners in certificate and diploma programs, university transfer, degree completion, credit-free courses, and high school upgrading.
