Scholarships & funding
Last year, RIT awarded $30.5 million in merit scholarships and assistantships to approximately 2,500 graduate students. Scholarship awards range from 5% of tuition all the way up to full tuition. Our median scholarship amount is around 30% of tuition or $13,000.

Our campus is sophisticated, high tech and environmentally friendly with the latest equipment, software, studios, laboratories, and conveniences with the tools you need to explore and excel. RIT offers many welcoming spaces on campus. You’ll find vibrant locations for social and intellectual activity just about everywhere you look. The physical beauty of the campus comes from an interplay of natural and park-like settings with modern buildings, architectural features, and artwork prominently on display. Comfortable spaces throughout campus offer places to relax or work on projects and team assignments.
Campuses
RIT’s main campus is located in Henrietta, NY, USA and occupies 1,300 acres in suburban Rochester, the third-largest city in New York state. Beyond our main campus RIT has international campuses in China, Croatia, Dubai, and Kosovo.
Student lifestyle
RIT offers over 300 student clubs and organizations and 23 intercollegiate men’s and women’s sports, including Division I men’s and women’s hockey. Intramural sports are popular at RIT and the outstanding recreational facilities include two ice rinks, an aquatics center, a field house, and extensive fitness facilities. Rochester offers a perfect setting: it’s large enough to provide the art, culture, dining and night life opportunities you expect in a bigger city, yet small and friendly enough to be inviting and accessible. Rochester is home to many high-tech, communications, optics, research, and manufacturing companies, including many Fortune 500 companies, all of which offer employment opportunities for current students and graduates.
Accommodation
RIT offers a wide variety of on-campus housing options to meet differing budgets, preferences, and needs. Many of RIT’s graduate students live in RIT residence halls, apartments, or townhouses on campus. There is also a wide variety of off-campus housing available in the immediate campus area and on major transportation routes to campus.
