Student lifestyle
Everything at SHU is designed to keep you happy, healthy, safe, and productive.
Sacred Heart University offers over 60 student-run clubs and organizations to all undergraduates on campus. These clubs present students with opportunities to meet fellow students who share similar interests, to connect with faculty and staff outside of the classroom, and to become more connected to the Sacred Heart community.
Additionally, students can get involved in athletics, by either attending one of the many NCAA Division I games, or by joining one of the 37 club sport teams: from basketball to figure skating, from tennis to indoor climbing.
More than 700 students also get involved in our performing arts groups, which offer great shows throughout the year.
SHU Student Life office is proud of all the events that are organized during the year, from trips to the beach or skiing, to siblings weekend and the President's Gala.
Accommodation
Undergraduate students are guaranteed university housing for all 4 years. University housing is required for the first two years only, but can be for all four years. SHU residence halls are located on our campus or walking distance from it: they are modern, very safe and offer double or triple rooms with different features, including gyms, study rooms, student lounge, game rooms, laundry room and more.
SHU gave me many unforgettable moments and friends for life. I love the campus and all the resources the school offers.
