20% Scholarship for Eastern Partnership Countries

Criteria for getting the scholarship:
- Average school graduation grade - 8,0;
- Qualification recognition from SKVC;
- Be a citizen of one of the Eastern Partnership countries.
40% Talent Scholarship
The scholarship applies for the first year of studies, after that students can apply for other scholarship programmes.
Criteria for getting the scholarship:
- Average school graduation grade - 8,5;
- Qualification recognition from SKVC;
- Motivational letter (Why am I eligible for Talent Scholarship?);
- English language level B2 (with proof of IELTS, TOEFL certificates or by passing a language test at SMK).
Deadline for applications: Fall semester – August 15th / Spring semester – January 15th.

Up to 50% SMK Tuition Fee Reduction Opportunity
Eligible for 2nd and 3rd-year SMK students
Criteria for getting SMK tuition fee reduction:
- The grade average of the student in the current semester should be not lower than 8.5 (students who have academic or financial arrears are not eligible);
- A student should be active in the public, organizational, creative life of SMK and beyond SMK.
Deadline for applications: Fall semester – August 15th / Spring semester – January 15th.
OTHER TUITION FEE REDUCTIONS:
- 10 % reduction for family members of SMK students or alumni;
- 30 % for the second SMK degree studies.

There are plenty of different services and facilities available for SMK students at SMK Vilnius campus.
It includes:
- International Student Network (ISN) (Buddy Mentor System and events for SMK International students);

- Modern video and audio studios available for your projects (podcasts, online conferences, TV shows, presentation of products, music production, etc.);

Campuses
SMK University of Applied Social Sciences has campuses in the three largest cities of Lithuania: Vilnius, Kaunas and Klaipeda. It is the biggest private higher education institution in Lithuania.
SMK‘s International programmes are offered in Vilnius campus, the capital city of Lithuania. The campus is located around 8km away from Vilnius‘ medieval old town. It takes 30min to get there by bus. The campus is very modern and you can find plenty of nice restaurants and shops just 10min walking from there.

Student lifestyle
SMK University of Applied Social Sciences offers you to join the International Student Network - ISN SMK. It is an organization, fully managed by SMK students, who provide help and assistance to new international students of SMK. You will be assigned a buddy-mentor, who will help you to adjust to a new culture and get around your daily activities in Vilnius, as well as pick you up from the airport!
ISN, together with SMK Student Association organize many events throughout the year, such as parties, tours, hiking trips or workshops, so you can enjoy a vibrant student lifestyle. Some of these events include touristic trips around Lithuania, such as Trakai, Klaipeda and Palanga. In Klaipeda students have a chance to see the Baltic sea and also visit a Sea Museum.
Finally, SMK also has its own football team and offers many other sport activities to the students, you are welcome to join SMK teams to run marathons, etc. The students are also encouraged to participate in social programmes: they can visit and help in animal shelters, or volunteer in foster homes.
SMK always motivates students to be brave and take initiatives themselves, and organize events for the SMK community and beyond.

Accommodation
The University can offer a partner's dormitory for accommodation, which is 6-7 bus stops from University.
It costs 150euros/month per person to stay in a double room (utilities are included in the fee). Every room has its own bathroom; there is a shared kitchen in the corridor. You can reserve a place in advance by paying a 50euro deposit. There is also a one-month deposit and 20 euros’ fee for the entry card required.

There are plenty other accommodation options for international students in Vilnius. It is your own responsibility to find a place to stay prior your arrival. If you have a hard time finding accommodation in Vilnius, you are welcome to contact us, and we will be happy to provide you relevant information.
I am currently a student at SMK, and this semester I had a chance to study in Italy as an Erasmus+ exchange student. Now that I can compare this University in Italy (which is considered to be one of the best in the country) to SMK, I can truly say that the teaching methods at SMK are much better and engaging than in other classical Universities!...
