Graduates of the prestigious Bachelor of International Hotel and Tourism Management are in strong demand by employers in both Australia and overseas. The BIHTM contains a range of compulsory professional learnings, such as Asia-Pacific Cultures and Tourism, International Hotel Management and International Gaming Management. Students are also instructed in fundamental business principles, ensuring that graduates have a solid grounding in areas such as management, marketing, human resources and finance.

Admission requirements

For entry into undergraduate programs at The University of Queensland, applicants must have:
1. Completed recognised upper secondary or comparable Year 12 studies to the required standard. Note that some programs have a limited quota for students. In these instances the required standard is a minimum and a higher standard may be required to gain entry.
2. Satisfied English language requirements
3. Satisfied individual program requirements (ie. specific subject prerequisites, audition or interview).

Program prerequisites
Queensland Year 12 (or equivalent) English, Mathematics A or B or C.

Applicants are assessed on a case-by-case basis. Meeting minimum entry requirements does not guarantee entry to the University's undergraduate programs.
