Bachelor's Degree in Tourism
Tourism is one of the main sectors of the Spanish economy. Spain is also one of world’s leading tourist destinations. Forecasts suggest that there will be a sharp rise in tourism and it will become one of the principal driving forces of the world’s economy in the 21st century, with estimated growth rates of 4.5% per annum. But tourism is much more than an economic activity. In order to analyse, plan and manage tourist companies and destinations, we must bring together the various relevant disciplines and look at tourism from several different, complementary perspectives.
The new degree in Tourism seeks to train future senior and middle managers to take decisions in the dynamic, changing context of the tourist sector. We aim to ensure that graduates are able to manage businesses and public and private organisations in the sector. A further objective of the degree is to train professionals to manage territories and tourist destinations and define tourism policies and programs.
