The University of Central Lancashire, Cyprus (UCLan Cyprus), is located in Larnaka, and it is now in its ninth year of operation. UCLan Cyprus is the first Branch Campus of the University of Central Lancashire and at the same time a fully licensed University in Cyprus. A unique and innovative model of a Cypriot and British University Educational Experience, accredited by the UK Quality Assurance Agency and the Cyprus Agency of Quality Assurance and Accreditation in Higher Education (CYQAA) respectively.
Built on strong academic foundations, the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan UK), our mother University, counts more than 190 years of history and is considered among the top 6.8% of all worldwide Universities by the Centre for World University Rankings (CWUR) 2021/22.
UCLan Cyprus operates under the academic umbrella of UCLan UK, and further to the latest political changes of the United Kingdom’s exit from the European Union (BREXIT), it is considered a unique University, bridging the UK and Europe in terms of research, academic standards, student experience and student exchange.
The completion of studies at UCLan Cyprus will result in a Double Degree (two certificates) from the two Universities, UCLan UK and UCLan Cyprus, recognised not only in Cyprus and UK, but also across Europe and beyond.

Scholarships & funding
The UCLan Cyprus will maintain its annual Bursary for new students that will start their studies the Academic Year 2021/22.

Student services & facilities
UCLan Cyprus is the first University in Cyprus to have its own Court Room. It has been designed to reproduce not only the look and effect of a real court room, but the court rooms of the future.
Fully IT and AV-equipped, with both counsel and judge able to portray their evidence, representations and remarks onto three large projector screens, the Moot Court Room is ideal to be used for practice, training, debating, interviewing, negotiation, advising and arguing.

Our location could not be better even if we tried! Situated on the southern coast of Cyprus, Larnaka is known for its beautiful clean beaches, great food and vibrant nightlife. It is the perfect location for a University and its student community.
With the fantastic Mediterranean weather, outdoor leisure activities are very popular. Students can take part in water sports, diving, snorkelling, fishing, hiking, cycling and many more. Interestingly, the crystal clear bays are unusually rich in underwater wreckages for you to explore. There are many qualified and licensed diving instructors and businesses along the beach areas.
According to the EU environment agency, Cyprus’ beaches have the best water quality in the EU for 2019.
Accommodation
The location is ideal as it is located within the University Campus and therefore has all the facilities and advantages offered to UCLan Cyprus students.
Student’s Nest, with its 171 en-suite rooms, provides students with a modern, comfortable and safe environment for a pleasant student life. It is sprawled over an area of 5,500 square meters and consists of 5 blocks with a total of 49 flats.
