The University of Burgos is a State University that develops its mission based on comprehensive and quality teaching aimed at its students´ employability. The mission also includes as key focus the talent detection and promotion, as well as the increase of female numbers enrolled in engineering degrees. The University of Burgos has been distinguished as International Excellence Campus (CEI) by the Spanish Ministry of Education.
The University of Burgos is a regional leader in the coordination and development of European research projects and in 2019 it has been included in the Young University Ranking, drawn up by Times Higher Education (THE), in the TOP300 of the best “young universities” in the world.
In addition, the University of Burgos expects to be a GloCal University, committed to its territory and also focusing on global challenges. Internationalization is a basic objective of University of Burgos. 90% of students who apply for an international program obtains the position. Many of them can accumulate experiences in Erasmus Program, Asia, United Stated or Latin-America.

Campuses
The University of Burgos is located within the Campus of San Amaro, which boasts an extremely fine historic and artistic enclave: the Hospital del Rey. A former hospital for pilgrims of the Road to Santiago, it was founded in 1195 by Alfonso VII.
