Everything we do here at University Campus Barnsley (UCB) puts our students first. Our mission is to give you the skills and support you need to go on and achieve great things.

Our courses are structured to maximise your development and give you the knowledge you’ll need to progress on to further study or get a job in the industry you choose. Many courses include work placements so you will gain real-life industry experience and have a CV to be proud of when you graduate.

You will be taught in excellent facilities by expert staff who are passionate about their subjects and, as UCB is a small friendly campus, you will enjoy a great level of contact with tutors throughout your course. You’ll be able to get in touch with tutors when you need to, arrange extra tutorials and won’t be just another student in a group of hundreds. Many students say this personal touch is the reason they chose to study here rather than anywhere else.

We are proud to have established fantastic partnerships which are dedicated to delivering a quality experience for our students. Our degree and foundation degree programmes are awards of Leeds Trinity University, Sheffield Hallam University, the University of Derby, the University of Huddersfield and the University of Hull and our Higher National certificate and Diploma programmes are validated by Pearson.

Barnsley is a student friendly, vibrant town just a short distance from Sheffield and Leeds. It is close to both the M1 motorway and some of the UK’s most spectacular countryside, so it’s a great place to be while you study – whatever your interests are.

Open days and drop-in sessions are a great way to find out more about UCB and we would encourage you to visit and find out all you need to know. You can meet the tutors, tour the campus and take a look around Barnsley town centre.
