Scholarships & funding
The University of Guelph has an extremely generous scholarship program that recognizes academic achievements and supports students in their continuation of study. In 2018, more than $32 million in scholarships was awarded to U of G students.
International Undergraduate Entrance Scholarships
Eligible for International students entering post-secondary studies for the first time and registering in the first semester of a degree program in the fall semester. No application. $17,500- $20,500 CAD over 4 years.
Dr. Franco J. Vaccarino President's Scholarship'
The Dr. Franco J. Vaccarino President's Scholarship is the University of Guelph's most prestigious undergraduate entrance award for international students. It was established in honour of the University’s eighth president, Dr. Franco Vaccarino, to acknowledge his remarkable impact on the University.
One scholarship is awarded each year to the top international student. It is valued at $42,000 and includes a research assistantship position and mentorship by one of the University's leading professors.
Students with an outstanding academic record, who have made significant contributions to their schools and their communities, who have demonstrated innovative and unique approaches to implementing change and/or bringing about improvements to life, and who demonstrate the greatest potential to be future leaders are invited to apply.
International Academic Leadership Entrance Scholarships
Ten Academic Leadership Entrance Scholarships are also awarded to the top International Students who have applied for the Vaccarino President's Scholarship but were not selected. Each award is valued at $20,000CAD.
