University of Hertfordshire
The University of Hertfordshire brings the transformational impact of higher education to all. Our staff, students and businesses we support, consistently reach their full potential.
Through cutting-edge research projects, and powerful business partnerships, they think bigger, stand out and positively impact local, national and international communities.
Everything we do at Herts is about transforming lives. You’ll have the chance to study abroad, go on work placements to gain valuable professional experience, build your skills and grow in confidence. Studying with us is a life-changing experience and we take pride in knowing you’ll leave us with the skills, knowledge and attributes to make a real difference in the world.
Central to this is our focus on being a modern, business facing university. We work with innovative businesses, public sector organisations and professional bodies to help shape our courses, to make sure these give you the practical skills and experience needed by
today’s employers. We know that getting a good job is a key reason to study at university, and it’s certainly a good reason to come to Herts - more than 96% of our graduates are working or doing further study within six months of leaving us and we have the highest
employment rate of graduates in the East of England region.
We are really proud of our vibrant, energetic campus, and we are continually investing in our buildings, with our students always in mind. In our £50 million cutting-edge Science
Building you’ll find high-tech labs and innovative, inspiring learning spaces, while our Sports Village offers you some of the best university sports and fitness facilities in the
country. We also have the largest clinical simulation centre in the UK and industry-standard creative studios and workshops.

Accommodation
Living on campus gives you the freedom to experience university life hassle free. With lectures, libraries, shops, cafes and pubs all close by, you can focus on what's important rather than the last bus home. Plus, living on campus is a great way to make new friends.
Our halls of residence are individual flats that house up to 12 students. There is a range of different styles. Some flats have single, double or twin bedrooms, which either have an en suite or shared bathroom. If you share a bathroom, this will normally be with one other person. There will be a shared kitchen where you'll have your own cupboard to store food. You can also choose a studio room, where you'll have an en suite bathroom and your own kitchen facilities.
