The University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, also known as the ULPGC (in Spanish Universidad de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria) is a Spanish university located in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, the capital city of Gran Canaria island. It consists of six campuses: four in Gran Canaria (Tafira, Obelisco, San Cristóbal and Montaña Cardones), one on the island of Fuerteventura and one in the island of Lanzarote, with Tafira being the largest and most important.
The University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria offers 55 grade titles, 19 Master, and 41 Ph.D. programs to over 24,000 students. The fields offered are heavily focused towards technical and engineering studies (Civil Engineering, Architecture, Software Engineering) but also include health-related grades (Medicine, Nursery or Veterinary medicine) and Humanities (History, Law, Social Sciences). University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria was one of the first universities in Spain to offer a specific title in "Sea Sciences". The University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria has a Moodle-based virtual campus giving service to all traditional classroom-based teaching and specially to 5 fully on-line grade titles and 4 post-graduate programs.

- Lanzarote Campus: The University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria offers the degrees of Nursing and Tourism on Lanzarote, thereby creating a small campus that represents the regional WILL with which it was set up and its commitment to taking university training wherever there is a demand that so justifies.

The city of Las Palmas has three excellent city beaches, of which Las Canteras is particularly popular, and dynamic cultural activities and nightlife, with noteworthy festivals such as Carnival and the Music and Film Festivals of the Canary Islands.

Accommodation
You can choose to be accommodated in one of our two residences, one downtown and the other one on campus. Both have several common areas designed to facilitate teamwork and coexistence among residents. The rooms consist of 2 different spaces, the rest area and the bathroom. The first is equipped with a single bed, wardrobe with hangers and study area composed of desk, chair, plank for notes and bookshelf. The bathroom has a sink, mirror, toilet and shower. The room has telephone, television and data connections. There is also free broadband Internet connection.
The common areas of the Residencia de Tafira have spaces for study, leisure and recreation for its residents, who are asked to make use of them responsibly, being aware that while these areas are used by residents there may be other residents who are studying or resting.
Common spaces include: a cafeteria-lunchroom, a coin-laundry, iron and an ironing board, a study area, a computer room, workgroup rooms, a TV room, an assembly Hall, ping pong tables and table football.
