BA (Hons) International Tourism Management
Millions of tourists are on the move every year, and the global tourism industry is big business for those skilled in providing the perfect experience.
Our BA (Hons) International Tourism Management investigates the issues and techniques relevant to the planning and management of international tourism. It is designed to enable students to build knowledge through tourism-specific and business-related modules, while optional modules can be chosen to reflect personal interests and career aspirations.
Admission requirements
Entry Requirements
A Level: BBC (112 UCAS Tariff points from a minimum of 3 A levels) or equivalent qualifications
International Baccalaureate: 29 points overall
BTEC Extended Diploma: Distinction, Merit, Merit or equivalent qualification
T Level: Merit
Access to Higher Education Diploma: 45 Level 3 credits with a minimum of 112 UCAS Tariff points
A combination of qualifications which may include A Levels, BTEC, EPQ etc
Applicants will also need at least three GCSEs at grade 4 (C) or above, which must include English. Equivalent Level 2 qualifications may also be considered.
The University accepts a wide range of qualifications as the basis for entry. We will also consider applicants with extensive and relevant work experience and will give special individual consideration to those who do not meet the standard entry qualifications.
EU and Overseas students will be required to demonstrate English language proficiency equivalent to IELTS 6.0 overall, with a minimum of 5.5 in each element.

Qualification
How You Study
Throughout the degree, you study the principles of tourism management and the factors impacting the tourism experience. During your final year, you can tailor their degree by working on an independent project.
The programe has been enhanced to include core modules that provide the underpinning of business management principles and knowledge and also focus on contemporary issues and employability skills for tourism students. Other core modules delve into the nuances of tourism management, considering the impact, influences, and societal value of tourism businesses, products, and services.
