Programs
Scholarships & funding
The Global Freshman Scholars award is a competitive, merit-based scholarship, awarded to a limited number of well-qualified international students each year. This scholarship is renewable for up to four years, or until a first bachelor's degree is earned, whichever comes first. The award is based on SAT scores and GPA, and is valued up to $10,000 per year.
The Global Transfer Scholars award is a competitive, merit-based scholarship, awarded to a limited number of well-qualified transferring international students each year. This scholarship is renewable for up to two years, or until a first bachelor’s degree is earned, whichever comes first. The award is based on transfer GPA, and is valued up to $4,000 per year.

The student recreation center includes state-of-the art weight lifting and cardio machines, as well as fitness classes and two swimming pools. The university offers free tutoring and writing help in our academic services center. GlobalUSA is the university's international division, housing international admissions, immigration, study abroad, and international student services.

The university offers 250 clubs and organizations, all of which host events year-round. The organizations range from political to religious to interested-based and more. Students can join any of the groups and be a part of their events!
The campus is located in Mobile, Alabama! Mobile is home to a large, international shipping port. This means that there many international businesses in the area. Each month the city hosts art-walk, which is an arts and music festival in the downtown area. Mobile is known for its delicious cuisine, which includes fresh seafood. As the home of Mardi Gras, Mobile is a vibrant, rapidly growing metropolitan city.

Students who choose to live on campus are likely to be safer, happier, a higher GPA, and be more independent. There are SO many great reasons to live on campus – you’ll do better in school, make lifelong friends, have a built-in support system, and live close to everything. With 33 residence halls in 7 different residential communities, there are thousands of unique living experiences.
