Program description

This Event Management program gives you hands-on experience of events management from the start. You’ll graduate with knowledge and experience of running events, which will be impressive on your CV, plus you’ll have essential business skills for all kinds of careers.

You’ll have the opportunity to take part in workshops delivered by key organisations, including established festival organisers and national heritage bodies. This will help you understand how your learning relates to the real world. The University of South Wales has excellent links with a variety of organisations, such as BBC Wales, Caerphilly County Borough Council Tourism and Events, Eventure UK, Welsh Government, and CADW. Field trips also offer you the opportunity to apply theory to practice and gain even more experience.

Events are held in all industries, so your skills will be in demand in the private, public and voluntary sectors. Your business skills could also lead to careers in other areas such as sales and marketing, PR, or general management.

280 UCAS tariff points, eg, BBC at A-level. GCSE: Five at grade C or above, including Mathematics and English language.
