One of the largest accredited public higher profession education institutions in Lithuania, Vilniaus kolegija / University of Applied Sciences ( VK/UAS) is a leading university with around 7000 students and 500 experienced teachers. The university holds top rankings due to its high enrollment rates and highly qualified graduates. VK/UAS is the home to more than 40 Professional Bachelor Study programs in 7 faculties that include Social, Biomedical, Technological, Physical Sciences, Humanities and Arts.

International Relations
One of the priority areas for VK/UAS is Internationalization, with all faculties actively involved in various projects. VK/UAS provides students with opportunities to study at foreign educational institutions and find positions in companies abroad. It also provides teachers with prospects to enhance their competence, knowledge and experience by working with colleagues from different countries. Over 200 students spend a semester studying or having placements abroad every year.

Student lifestyle
VK/UAS offers after-class activities that include outdoor and indoor sports which are available at the Sports Centre; those interested in folk dance and music are invited to the music band VORUTA.
Accommodation
VK/UAS has multiple campuses located all over the city, offering its students good facilities for studies, free time and accommodation. International students are invited to stay at a renovated, well-equipped hostel, which is situated close to the city centre.
The facilities include:
- Double furnished rooms (bed clothing is provided as well);
- Shared kitchen;
- Showers for several rooms;
- Internet connection;
- Access to a washing machine (one time – 3 eur);
- Access to dryer (one time – 1,5 eur);
- There is a possibility to live alone in the room or share it with another student.
